With 20 years of experience in mental health, I've recognized the limitations of medications and therapy alone.

My practice now emphasizes diet and lifestyle changes, particularly low carbohydrate high fat (LCHF) eating, which can enhance recovery and reduce medication reliance. This approach supports various health challenges and promotes physical well-being as well.

 

What conditions can this help with?

This approach supports a wide range of challenges, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders, ADHD, substance addiction recovery, food addiction and eating disorders.  Incidentally, it also can have a cascade of positive effects on physical health.

How quickly can I experience results?

Research shows that clients often see significant symptom relief within 2-3 weeks of starting an LCHF diet, with some experiencing changes in just days.

  • Learning about what LCHF is and the variety of ways you can go about it to help you craft your tailored eating plan.
  • Creating a strategy for adopting your new way of eating so that this change is comfortable and effective for you.
  • Learning how to track your progress, which in turn will help you stay on plan and enjoy the changes in your mind and body as they unfold.
  • Finding and utilizing supports so that, if your motivation wavers, you can stay on track.
  • Support getting back on the horse if you fall off.
